Historic Train, Fort & Canal Tour
VIP Panama Tourism tour operators leave Panama City behind heading for the province of Colon on the historic Panama Canal Railway (not available on weekends or holidays). Our first stop is at the Gatun locks expansion site to witness history in the making from the brand new visitor center. See the new, bigger, set of locks recently completed in 2016! We then head into the Chagres National Park to visit the UNESCO world heritage site of Fort San Lorenzo which stands guard at the mouth of the Chagres river. On or way back we stop for lunch on the water at the historic US Fort Sherman (lunch not included) before making our way back to Panama City.
Please keep in mind that this tour has an early start time and does not include breakfast. We recommend that you take measures to plan ahead by having something to eat at your hotel or bring with you, before we pick you up in the morning.
* Minimum of 3 people needed to run this tour – Available on Mondays and Fridays. For other dates please inquire.
